I have been involved with the Children’s Organ Transplant Society for many years, as a child transplant recipient at the age of 8, and an adult transplant recipient at the age of 22. I understand the challenges of my community. Many transplant recipients live great lives but we have compromised immunities, with Covid-19 we have to take extra precautions as we are more vulnerable to have severe outcomes if we contract the virus. Please continue social distancing and stay at home as it helps protect our vulnerable population. I encourage you to sign up to be an organ donor, as you could one day save a life.
