CRANE BUILDING 546 BEATTY ST
The Crane building was one of the first brick and steel framed buildings constructed in Vancouver, in the early 1900's. It was used to manufacture Crane fixtures: toilets and sinks. The residential conversion commenced around 2006, and the residential buliding was completed and occupied in 2009. The suites stand for being very raw open loft spaces. Some of the unique features include high ceilings, steel beams, brick walls, restored heritage windows, and beautifully poured concrete hallways and walls. Greenshields is located along historic Water Street, just west of the famous tourist attraction: The Steam Clock. This is the most "Western" location of a loft conversion condo building in Gastown. The location is sought after, but so are the dramatic modern open concept interiors.
